Linwood Rugby Committed to our Community
U6 first years to under 8’s grades NO subscription fees.
Bulls Family Pack will be ONLY $50.00 for the entire family at junior level.
The Linwood Rugby club is proud to announce that for the 2015 Rugby season the club will be giving all our players and families from u6 first years to under 8’s grades the opportunity to participate and play Rugby at Linwood with no subscription fees, the club will also provide new BLK Linwood Bulls branded shorts and socks to the first 150 players who register (registrations can be done on-line NOW at www.linwoodrugby.co.nz).
This season the Linwood Rugby club is excited to also provide a “Bulls Family Pack”, which will be only $50.00 for the entire family at junior level, this continues our commitment to provide sporting opportunities at the lowest cost in Canterbury and possibly New Zealand Rugby.
We are thrilled to offer this opportunity for our current and new club members, this is our contribution to our community which we understand is still finding its feet from many challenges over the last number of years and still currently, as a club our board, committee and members believe it’s our responsibility to offer to our community the ability to participate and play in sport which is proven to offer many great skills both athletically and in life management skills.
New Zealand Rugby legend and Linwood Rugby president Tane Norton said “This for us as a club is a big investment however as a family orientated club this was our challenge to prove that’s our motivation and offer this to our people. We have been very fortunate in finding an outstanding sponsor Layne Watson Plumbing, as well as the ongoing support from our club sponsors Heller’s New Zealand’s Butchers and BLK . I am very proud that we have extended our hand to people who might have not been able to afford to have their children and families involved otherwise”.
From Green and Black to Red and Black to All Black
In the coming weeks Linwood will use its current high-profile players to promote this initiative, with All Blacks Owen and Ben Franks, Crusaders and Canterbury stars Willi Heinz, Alex Hodgman , Nathaniel Apa and Richie Mo’unga, as examples of how participation in sport can offer many opportunities in life.
All Black and proud Linwood bull Owen Franks stated “again our club has been proactive in promoting to our community the chance to participate in sport, the challenge is for parents and families to get involved and accept this wonderful opportunity”.
